Getting Started

To get started with the FCS Data Governance product (Alation), work with your business program/project manager to procure a license for you to login. You will only need a Viewer license if you plan to browse the data assets only. If you plan to publish data assets to the catalog, and/or curate metadata for data assets, you will need a higher-privilege license, which you can explain and justify in the access request ticket you will create in hte below steps.

How to Login

1. Login with your FCS username and password
   • If you have forgotten your username, you can request it by submitting a JIRA ticket
   • If you have forgotten your password, you can reset your password by selecting the “Reset Password” hyperlink below the “Login” button
   • Submitting a ticket to reset your password
     • Step 1: Access this link https://cm-jira.usa.gov/servicedesk/customer/portal/12
     • Step 2: Select FCS Access Request
     • Step 3: Enter in the required information
       • Explain in the ticket you need your password reset
2. Next, you will be prompted to enter in your One Time Password (OTP)
   • The OTP will be sent to your email address from fcs.no-reply@gsa.gov
3. Once you have logged into your Alation Account, you will be redirected to the Alation dashboard
